Edmund Jennings Randolph (August 10, 1753 – September 12, 1813) was an American attorney and politician. He was the 7th Governor of Virginia, and, as a delegate from Virginia, he attended the Constitutional Convention and helped to create the national constitution while serving on its Committee of Detail. Wilson Cary Nicholas, from Albemarle County, Virginia, fought in the Revolution, and became a politician, serving in the Virginia General Assembly, 1784-89, 1794-1799, as a U.S. senator, 1799-1804, and as a congressman, 1807-1809.
